Does anyone know any good recipes for canned pink salmon?

Salmon Loaf





INGREDIENTS:


1 can (16 ounces) salmon


3 cups fine dry bread crumbs


1 1/2 tablespoons chopped parsley


1 tablespoon lemon juice


1 teaspoon salt


1/4 teaspoon pepper


1/2 cup finely chopped celery


2 tablespoons grated onion


3 tablespoons butter


2 eggs, beaten


reserved salmon liquid and enough milk to make 3/4 cup





PREPARATION:


Drain salmon, reserving liquid, and break into large pieces in a bowl. Stir in bread crumbs, parsley, lemon juice, salt, pepper, celery, onion, and butter; blend well.


Place mixture in a well greased loaf pan.


Add enough milk to the salmon liquid to make 3/4 cup.


Combine eggs with liquid and pour over the salmon mixture. Bake loaf at 350掳 for 45 minutes or until loaf is set in the center.Does anyone know any good recipes for canned pink salmon?

I use it for salmon cakes, you mix the salmon some cushed crakers an egg green peppers onions and spices shape into patties and fry, serve with tarter sauce. Its excellant made into and omlet also with all you fav fillings
you can make creamed salmon. Take bones out and put it in a frying pan. Break it up with fork in a skillet and add some milk, about a cup. Put in some salt and pepper and cook until it begins to boil. Add some flour and whisk continually until texture is like gravy. Remove from heat and spread on slices of toast. .

Fry in skillet or pan until golden brown. In the south we serve them with rice and english peas. Whatever you chose. Add some onion,bell pepper, salt, etc.

any recipe that you use for canned tuna fish can be used for canned pink salmon. i usually add just a smidge of dill weed.
Tortillas, chedder or monteray jack cheese, some diced green chiles and the salmon.





put a little Olive oil in a skillit and make some salmon quesadillas. They are REALLY YUMMY!!
Stay away from canned fish,, always use fresh or frozen fish.
My grandmother used to make salmon coquettes.


Remove the bones, add chopped onion, celery, egg, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and a little sage or thyme. Form into patties. Dip in melted butter and coat with more breadcrumbs or cornmeal and fry. Cook 10-15 minutes on each side, or until done. She also made a white sauce to go on top. This was served with fired potatoes and onions. If you don't like fried foods, you can also put it in a loaf pan and bake, putting buttered bread crumbs on top. Cook at 350F for 45 minutes.
Zatarains has a really good salmon cake mix. The tuna cake or crab cake mixes will work good too.
