Any body got any good marinades or tips for cooking a alantic slamon on the bbq..thank youBBQ fresh alantic salmon..recipes?
Make a Bourbon marinade for it.

Mix together light brown sugar and light sodium or regular soy sauce (a dash or two of Bourbon if you have it, garlic powder to taste and marinate the fish for one to two hours. No Bourbon on hand, no worry, you get the same affect without it.

Cook filets with skin side down on the grill. Cook them over indirect heat. Brush with a mixture of melted butter, teriyaki sauce, and brown sugar. Or brush with a mixture of melted butter, lemon juice, and a little garlic. You can add garlic, but don't overpower the flavor of the salmon by using too much. I prefer the teriyaki mixture myself.
We BBQ salmon filets every week. I just rub them with olive oil, and sprinkle with Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning and LOTS of dried dillweed. (You can also use garlic salt, pepper %26amp; dillweed). Then grill on both sides (about 5-8 min), until they're flaky. Serve with this easy sauce on the side: 1/2 cup EACH mayonnaise %26amp; Dijon mustard, with at least 2 TB. dried dillweed (This is also a great dip for veggies)...... This is a much fresher, healthier way to eat it than smothered in sweet honey or teriyaki sauce:)
