Salmon any good recipes out there?

I have a slab of salmon and would like to bbQ itSalmon any good recipes out there?
I usually just broil it and its delicious...

1/4 Worcestershire Sauce

1 T Dijon Mustard

dash Tabasco Sauce

In a shallow glass pan, combine sauces, mustard and salt and pepper to suit your taste. Set the salmon steaks in the mixture turning them to ensure they are coated. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Set the oven rack a 3 or 4 inches above the bottom element. Line the broiler pan with tin foil.

After the salmon has been in the sauce for 15 minutes, remove from sauce and place the salmon on the broiler pan. Place the pan on the rack you've prepared in the oven. Broil for 3-5 minutes with electric oven door partially open. Remove broiler pan from oven. Turn salmon steaks and coat other side with remaining sauce. Continue to broil until the thickest part of the salmon steak is done. (Cut to test. The salmon should flake apart easily.)

BBQ is the best thing to do with salmon b/c it brings out the flavor as it cooks you can get a brush dip it in mesquite flavor and as it sears glaze it , its cheaper right out of the bottle, your guests will think it came from a 4 star restaraunt, another idea is teryaki grilled salmon which is amazing!!! you dont even have to grill it pan frying works to

the recipe is:

ingredients:

/2 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup mirin or sweet sherry

1/4 cup sugar

4 (7 ounce) salmon steaks (1 inch thick)

directions:

Heat the broiler or light the grill. If broiling, line a broiler pan or baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly oil the foil.

In a medium stainless-steel saucepan, bring the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to a boil, stirring. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened and reduced to 2/3 cup, about 10 minutes.

If broiling, put the salmon in the prepared pan. Brush the salmon with the soy-sauce mixture. Broil or grill until well browned, about 2 minutes. Turn and brush with more of the soy-sauce mixture. Continue cooking until the fish is browned and just barely done (the fish should still be translucent in the center), about 3 minutes longer. Brush with the remaining soy-sauce mixture and serve.

i love salmon that has been slightly sweetened, like with a terriyaki glaze or something similar. it would be especially great on the grill....

i just start by marinating the salmon in 1 cup brown sugar and 2 cups soy sauce. i add about a teaspoon of garlic and 2 tsp of ginger. it is really easy and super delicious. kind of a combination of different techniques i've seen.

i've done the same exact thing with maple syrup and soy sauce, too. it just gives it that awesome sweetness. i also reserve some marinade to cook for a bit and then spoon it over the cooked salmon.

hope this helps! happy eating!!!
Im a big fan of simplicity when it comes to seafood, especially salmon since too much spice etc. will just overpower the amazing buttery taste salmon has.

All I do is coat my salmon with olive oil season it with smoked salt, cracked pepper, smoked paprika, pan sear it (or in your case just grill until skin is crisp so it will peel away) flip, remove from the heat and finish with a sprinkle of thyme.
I love salmon and i like to cook it on the BBQ the reason i like doing it this way no mess in my kitchen and the taste is amazing.

Season your fish with salt, pepper, garlic salt and lemon pepper.

Place on your BBQ a large piece of aluminum foil, pock a few holes, oil the fish on the side of the skin and put on the foil.

The heat has to be on the med.to slow, cook for 15-20 min.

You don,t need to turn fish over.

It is done when you move the fish and the skin stays on the foil.

Make a wonderful sauce with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, finely choped dill and fresh onions.

To plate put your salmon on the plate ad the sauce and decorate with capers. Easy ,healthy and delicious.
