Looking for a good BBQ salmon recipe?

My favourite way of doing salmon on the grill is to wrap it in a foil parcel with a knob of butter (or olive oil if you are cholesterol-conscious), some garlic and fresh dill or fennel - don't use dried dill: it just tastes musty - and to put it on a cooler area for 10 to 20 minutes. This keeps the juices with the meat and stops them from dripping over the coals (or making a mess of a gas barbecue).





You can include any suitable herbs or spices, of course. You could substitute fennel or caraway seed for the dill weed, for example. Another favourite is a slice of lime and a small amount of grated ginger.





Good salmon needs very little cooking and searing it tends to make it hard. The above method avoids the smell and keeps it nice and moist. I serve it with baked potatoes (which can also be done in foil) and a bean salad.Looking for a good BBQ salmon recipe?
3 tablespoons Melted butter


1 tablespoon Lemon juice


1 tablespoon White wine vinegar


1/4 teaspoon Grated lemon peel


1/4 teaspoon Garlic salt


1/4 teaspoon Salt


4 salmon steaks

Directions:





Combine the butter, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, lemon peel, garlic salt, and salt; stir thoroughly.





Generously brush both sides of the salmon steaks with mixture.





Barbeque on a well oiled grill over hot coals. Make a tent of foil or use barbeque cover and place over salmon.





Barbeque 6-8 minutes per side depending on the thickness of your steaks. Baste frequently. Turn once, brushing with sauce. Steaks should flake easily when tested with a fork.

Alaskan BBQ Salmon





1 cup brown sugar


1/2 cup honey


1 dash liquid smoke flavoring


1/2 cup apple cider vinegar


1 (4 pound) whole salmon fillet





Preheat grill for high heat.


In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, honey, liquid smoke, and vinegar.


Brush one side of the salmon with the basting sauce. Place the salmon on the grill, basted side down. After about 7 minutes, generously baste the top, and turn over. Cook for about 8 more minutes, then brush on more basting sauce, turn, and cook for 2 minutes. Take care not to overcook the salmon as it will loose its juices and flavor if cooked too long.
Salmon Croquettes.


3 Large peeled potatoes, chopped.


1 Small onion finely chopped.


2 210 g of Pink salmon, drained and flaked.


1 T Chopped fresh parsley.


2 t Grated Lemon Zest.


录 C lemon juice.


1 T Vinegar.


1 Egg, lightly beaten.


录 C Plain Flour.


S%26amp;P.


2 Eggs lightly beaten.


11/2 C Fresh Bread Crumbs.


Oil


(I)


Cook potatoes in boiling water until just tender.


Drain and mash.


Place in a mixing bowl. Add onion, salmon, parsley, lemon zest and juice, vinegar, one whisked egg and pepper.


Stir to combine.


(II)


Divide mixture into 16 portions and form into patties or sausage shape.

Combine flour and pepper and roll the patties or croquettes to cover. Shake off excess flour and dip in the two beaten eggs, then into the crumbs to coat evenly. Store in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
We BBQ salmon each week. I just rub olive oil on it, and sprinkle with Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning and lots of dried dillweed. Grill 5-8 min on each side, until it flakes. Serve this simple sauce: Equal parts of sour cream %26amp; Dijon mustard, with 2 TB. dried dillweed ...... If you have mesquite smoking chips or pellets, that's even better! .......just as a note: I don't like honey on salmon, and on ';the Next Food Star'; on Food Network tv last week, someone used honey on their salmon and all 12 judges said it was too sweet (including 2 Iron Chefs)
Get a cedar grilling plank ( Google : Fire %26amp; Flavour Grilling Co. ).


Soak the plank in water for an hour.


Use McCormick's seafood rub on the salmon.


Place the plank on the grill for one minute, flip it and place the salmon on the plank.


Close the lid and grill for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on how hot your coals are.

Lime,little bit of sea salt,olive oil, chopped garlic and coriander.
barbeque the salmon and put the bbq sauce on top and squeeze a lemon wedge and voila !! put a nice tall glass of water beside it and there's your salmon meal
Can't beat a cedar plank salmon...I would use a honey bbq sauce
