Grilled Salmon (really good recipe)

* 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillets

* lemon pepper to taste

* garlic powder to taste

* salt to taste

* 1/3 cup soy sauce

* 1/3 cup brown sugar

* 1/3 cup water

* 1/4 cup vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS

1. Season salmon fillets with lemon pepper, garlic powder, and salt.

2. In a small bowl, stir together soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and vegetable oil until sugar is dissolved. Place fish in a large resealable plastic bag with the soy sauce mixture, seal, and turn to coat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

3. Preheat grill for medium heat.

4. Lightly oil grill grate. Place salmon on the preheated grill, and discard marinade. Cook salmon for 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Grilled Salmon with Lemon Hazelnut Sauce

* 1 cup hazelnuts

* 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

* 1/3 cup hazelnut liqueur, such as Frangelico

* 2/3 cup dry sherry

* 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

* 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

* 2 tablespoons lemon zest

* 1/4 cup chopped shallots

* 1/3 cup canola or peanut oil

* 4 (4 ounce) fillets King or Chinook salmon

* 1 tablespoon lemon zest, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

2. Place hazelnuts on a baking sheet and place into preheated oven. Bake until the skins loosen and the nuts turn a light golden-brown, 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool until you can handle them. Remove the skins by placing the hazelnuts into a kitchen towel, folding it over, and rubbing until the skins come off. Discard the loosened skins, and chop the nuts into very small pieces by hand.

3. Whisk together lemon juice, hazelnut liqueur, sherry, and salt together in a bowl until the salt has dissolved. Whisk in pepper, 2 tablespoons lemon zest, and shallots; slowly pour in canola oil while whisking vigorously until completely incorporated. Pour into a resealable plastic bag or glass bowl; toss fish with marinade, then refrigerate 8 to 24 hours.

4. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.

5. Remove the salmon from the marinade, shake off excess, and discard remaining marinade. Cook on preheated grill 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until the fish is just opaque. Garnish with hazelnuts and lemon zest to serve.Have you got a good recipe for cooking Salmon?

Garlic Dill Salmon

2 (1.5 pound) salmon fillets

1 head garlic, peeled

1 ounce fresh dill, chopped

1/2 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a food processor, process garlic to a rough mince, add dill and olive oil and pulse a few times to combine.

Lay fish fillets in a baking dish, skin side down. Rub garlic mixture over fish. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees F).

Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Do not overcook.
Yes. We're making salmon tonight on the BBQ.

I buy the Kroger 30 minute marinade (Teryaki). Marinate the salmon in it for 30 minutes or so. Then we grill it on the BBQ for about 3-4 minutes on each side. The salmon takes on a nice char. The skin will also peel right off after it is cooked.

Hit with some lemon. And serve some homemade ';tarter sauce'; with it. Mayo with some lemon juice %26amp; dill weed mixed in.

We like to eat it with some rice %26amp; spinich on the side. Also good with a nice red wine. I like Cabernet.

BTW, you can use just about any teryaki sauce. Doesn't have to be Kroger.
Vegetable oil is just a cooking oil.

If you are just cooking part of a fillet the best way is to season and oil both sides and place under the grill for about 3 minutes, turn over and cook until the skin is nice and crispy.
Vegetable oil is any cooking oil that sources from plants. Like canola, olive, peanut etc.
