I need a simple recipe for baking salmon?

When I try bake salmon no matter how I prepare it it always comes out dry and tasteless. Want a better recipe to help keep moist and delicious.I need a simple recipe for baking salmon?
You can tent it in the oven w/foil so it doesn't dry out.

Here is our fav marinade, and always marinade overnight if possible for best flavor. We just throw it all in a big Ziploc bag to marinade.

lemon pepper, to taste

fresh garlic, to taste

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup water

1/4 cup vegetable oil

Season salmon with lemon pepper, garlic.

Stir together soy sauce, brown sugar, water %26amp; oil until sugar dissolves.

Put fish in large bag and marinade in fridge over night or at least 2+ hours.

Remove and place salmon in foil.

Grill on a lightly oiled grate (or cook in the oven at 375)

Cooks about 8 min. per side.I need a simple recipe for baking salmon?
This recipe was absolutely positively DELICIOUS! Report Abuse

Don't cook it as long, and / or turn the heat down. I prefer salmon medium rare myself.
This site is AMAZING! Anything you want to make can be found here,

I like to plank grill it myself. If you have a grill get a cedar plank and soak it for a couple of hours then put it on a medium hot grill. It will turn out really moist. Another way to do it without a grill would be to use something like a rompertoff clay pot cooker. It will bake your fish but keep it moist. Just follow the direction for the cooker.
Rather than bake, try broil.

Sprinkle the skin side with salt, pepper %26amp; lemon-pepper seasoning. Place flesh-side down on a lightly spray-greased piece of tin foil. Broil for about 7 minututes or till skin starts to ';crackle.'; Remove, flip pieces, resprinkle with seasonings, and continue to broil for about 5 minutes or till the flesh gets slightly golden.

SUPERB!
email me and i have a relative who can cook a really good salmon and i'll give you his adress...
Use this same recipe for salmon and all white fish. Preheat oven to 375. On a sheet of aluminum foil large enough to more than fold over place the fish. Salt and pepper to taste. (Remember you can add more salt later but you cant take it out.) Cut 5 or 6 thin squares of butter and place over the fish. ( more if it is a big cut ) Fold the foil up and over the fish. Fold down the ends to seal. Your goal is to create a envelope type deal to seal the fish while leaving a pocket around the fish. Place on a pan with at least shallow edges in case of a leak and place in the oven. Cook for 20 minutes. Open foil and check for flakiness with a fork. If not finished turn oven up to 450 and bake foil open for 5 more minutes. You will get all the uninterrupted taste of the fish. If you like add some garlic, tomato slices and basil. Maybe some Old Bay Spice or a little wine. Use this as a basic block to build on. Good Luck.
Try poaching in some chicken broth %26amp; lemon.
You're probably cooking it too long. Take the salmon fillets (About 1/2 to 1 pound apiece), wash with cold water, and pat dry with paper towel. For each fillet, put about 2 tbs. of mayonaise in your hands, and coat the entire fillet with it; sprinkle with salt, black pepper, onion and garlic powder, and an herb of your choice (tarragon or dill is good, but you can use basil or oregano as well). Put on a oiled cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 425 degrees for 12 to 17 minutes; check it after 12 minutes to be safe, but if the fillets are at least 1 1/2 inches thick, let it go to 17 minutes. That's it! It is as easy as that! Enjoy your fish!!
You could broil it or bake it wrapped in foil. I also add sliced onion, butter, garlic, fresh squeezed lemon and/or lime juice, and sometimes I also add a bit of fresh dill.
